Meet #TeamHarlow’s two new members of staff

Citizens Advice Harlow is excited to introduce to you, two new members of staff. Owen our Advice Service Supervisor and Hollie our Finance Officer. Read more about Hollie and Owen below.

Owen - Advice Services Manager

I am a Solicitor with substantial practice management, transactional, procurement and advisory experience in relation to a broad range of public and public/private work including experience gained in the local government, education, health and social care, social enterprise and offender management fields. 

After qualifying, I worked as a social welfare law adviser for a charity organisation before becoming Head of Legal Services and Monitoring Officer with a Local Council. I then moved into private practice and became a public sector partner with a national law firm. In private practice I worked on a wide range of public services projects. This included local government regeneration and governance, health and social care, offender management and academy school projects. I was also seconded as Interim Head of Legal Services to the East of England Development Agency. 

I also worked as a Senior Editor in the Public Sector Team in a legal publications company, writing and publishing updates and practice materials on developments in local government law, public procurement, and public services contracting. 

I am looking forward to working with #TeamHarlow and the clients that it serves. 

Hollie - Finance Officer

I have worked in the finance industry for more than 16 years, during which time I have worked in a variety of capacities as an accountant and payroll manager for several different companies. My education includes an Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) certification from Hertford Regional College and a National Diploma in Business from Harlow College.

Because it expands on my experience and skill set, the Finance Officer position at Citizens Advice Harlow particularly appeals to me. More importantly, I love giving back to my community. Having been born and raised in Harlow, this position provides the ideal setting for me to combine my professional expertise with my desire to serve my hometown which I love.
