All our new employees and volunteers receive the same in-depth training and support to provide the most up-to-date and accurate information and advice to our clients all year round.   

Recruitment and Training 

Everyone attends a face-to-face Induction, and everyone is provided with a Learning Journal to plan and map out their training.  Most of our employees started as a volunteer either with us or with another Citizens Advice.   

Currently looking for…. 

We have a variety of voluntary roles we are currently recruiting for: 

  • Advice & Information Assistants Volunteers 

  • Voluntary Advisers 

  • IT Support – prep laptops, setup and support MS365 (experienced only) 

  • Training Support Volunteers 

  • Campaigns & Research Volunteer Co-ordinators 

  • Volunteer Law Clinic Coordinator 

If you feel you have a skill that could benefit Citizens Advice Harlow and the local community then please do email volunteeting@harlowcitizensadvice.org.uk as we would be delighted to discuss this with you.   

Please do note that you will need to have a good level of verbal and written English and be able to use a laptop with MS365 to be able to volunteer with us.  Additionally, you will be trained on our specialist database and customer service systems that we use. 

Event 

Did you see us at The Volunteer Sector Forum Summer Event back in August at the Water Gardens in Harlow?  It was good to see so many people out and wanting to find out how and where they could help the local community of Harlow. If you see us at an event please do come over and say hello, we are keen to meet you all.
